Stroll through the temples of Paestum at night: evening openings and reviews

"Paestum by night, walking among the temples" with guided tours between the Temple of Neptune and the Basilica: a magical atmosphere to admire the wonders of Paestum at night.

From today, July 6, to Aug. 27 from Thursday to Sunday, it will be possible to stroll among the temples of Paestum in special openings from 7 p.m. to midnight, while guided tours will start every half hour near the Temple of Neptune from 8 to 10:30 p.m.

And that’s not all: as part of the"Music at the Temples" festival, internationally renowned artists will perform every Friday near the Temple of Neptune; in the"Theater at the Temples" festival, four plays written and directed by Sarah Falanga will be performed on the dates of Saturday, July 8, July 22, August 12 and August 26.

Also until Dec. 31, the exhibition"Action painting. Rite & Art in the Tombs of Paestum," in which funerary rituals are told through tomb slabs and pottery.

For children and youths every Sunday there are educational workshops at 11 a.m. and 4 p.m. as part of"From Myth to Temple"; also on Fridays and Saturdays the Museum will remain open until 10:30 p.m.

And for an exciting experience on July 23, you can arrive in Paestum by historical train.
