Streaming Italian premiere of film dedicated to philosopher Edmund Burke, forerunner of Romanticism


Illum Jacobi's The Trouble with Nature will have its Italian premiere on July 8 on MYmovies. On the occasion of the ShorTS International Film Festival.

On Wednesday, July 8, at 8 p.m., on the occasion of the 21st edition of the Trieste-based film event ShorTS International Film Festival, the Italian premiere of Illum Jacobi’s The Trouble with Nature, in competition in the New Imprints section dedicated to the best feature films of emerging cinema, will be available on MYmovies. Presented at the Rotterdam Film Festival, the film marks Danish director Jacobi’s debut behind the camera.

The streaming screening will focus on philosopher Edmund Burke, forerunner of Romanticism: it is set in 1769, 12 years after the publication of the treatise A Philosophical Inquiry into the Origin of our Ideas of the Sublime and Beautiful, when Burke decides to travel to the French Alps to rewrite his work in the face of new knowledge.



Also on the same day, at 6 p.m. MYMovies will present shorts from the Kids section, dedicated to children ages 6 to 10.

At 9:30 p.m., free online screenings will continue with the Maremetraggio shorts, the festival’s historic competitive section dedicated to the best short films awarded at major international festivals.
