Today and tomorrow Steve McCurry, one of the greatest contemporary photographers, will be in Brescia to visit the city, meet his admirers and visit the exhibition set up in the Santa Giulia Museum, titled"Reading," where some of his photographs dedicated to the theme of reading and the places of reading are on display.
About 70 shots depicting people around the world engaged in reading: from Turkey to Italy, India to Asia, Africa to the United States.
McCurry will meet his audience today at 6 p.m. in the Santa Giulia MuseumAuditorium and will be interviewed by journalist and photographer Roberto Cotroneo: an unmissable opportunity to meet the great artist live.
The exhibition"Steve McCurry. Reading" can be visited until Sept. 3, 2017; it is curated by Biba Giacchetti and Roberto Cotroneo, produced by Fondazione Brescia Musei and Civita Mostre, and realized in collaboration with SudEst57. The installation is by Piero Bottazzi.
The exhibition has its world premiere in Brescia on the occasion of Brescia Photo Festival 2017.
