The Baths of Diocletian in Rome will be the setting for"O," a music, art and dance festival to be held from September 14 to December 16, 2018.
More than forty international artists will perform throughout the duration of the project, which includes a rich calendar of events: from concerts to performances and contemporary dance.
The director of the National Roman Museum Daniela Porro said during the related press conference, “The initiative is part of the museum’s cultural and enhancement strategies, in line with the Ministry’s directives focused on the maximum enjoyment of the National Museum’s four venues (Baths of Diocletian, Palazzo Massimo, Palazzo Altemps and Crypta Balbi) with special attention to young people.”
The artistic director of the review, Cristiano Leone, added, “Each artist has conceived his or her performance with one of the beautiful long stretches that this site offers in mind; in fact, there will be no stages from which spectators will watch, but it will be a true immersion in the extraordinary place where we are.”
