In Rome on December 9, 2017 there will be the ninth edition of Museums in Music: concerts, performances and special openings in Rome's civic museums.
The ninth edition of
Musei in Musica will take place in
Rome on Saturday, December 9.

Roma Capitale,
Assessorato alla Crescita Culturale - Sovrintendenza Capitolina ai Beni Culturali and organized by
Zètema Progetto Cultura, this event includes the extraordinary opening of the
Civic Museums and other cultural spaces from 8 p.m. to 2 a.m.: during this time slot, exhibitions, concerts and shows will be set up whose price for admission is €1 or even free, where expressly provided.
The initiative involves more than 30 spaces with about 25 exhibitions and more than 100 replicas of live performances.

Starting at 9 p.m., the emerging artists selected through the free contest
Museum social club - Museums in music edition will also have the opportunity to perform at MACRO Testaccio: Air Fluent, Serena Arco and Alessio Colacchi, Basta scrivere Valerio, Qatarsi, Carolina Piergiovanni, Edema, Gli occhi della città.
Technotown will remain open until midnight offering for the occasion Techno and Music, a workshop entirely dedicated to music (8, 9, 9, 10, 11 p.m.), where to build and play musical instruments, play composing all together and explore the world of electronic music.

The Academy of France at Villa Medici will open to the public during evening hours with 1 euro admission, offering the exhibition
Eternelle Idole. Elizabeth Peyton & Camille Claude with the musical accompaniment of playlists created by the three artists-in-residence Juan Arroyo, Aurélien Dumont and Maxime Guitton, which will be played from 8 p.m. to 2 a.m. in the exhibition rooms.

Casa del Cinema, from 8 p.m. to midnight (last admission 11 p.m.), for the
Casa del Cinema “sounds” event
with "Museums in Music," which offers a journey through Italian and French cinema with the screening of the film Scugnizzi, by Nanni Loy and the film Parole, parole, parole ... (On connait la chanson) by Alain Resnais.
The Auditorium Parco della Musica offers free evening opening of the Archaeological Museum and the Aristaios Museum from 8-11:30 p.m. (last entrance at 11 p.m.) with guided tours (8:30, 9:30, 10:30 p.m.) and
Piano Solo - Lucio Perotti concerts in the foyer of the Archaeological Museum at 7:30 and 8:30 p.m.
The
MUSA - Museo degli Strumenti Musicali dell’Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia, which preserves and exhibits one of Italy’s leading collections of instruments, will be extraordinarily open until 11 p.m., with free admission, with guided tours, subject to availability, at 7:30-8:30 p.m./9:30 p.m. and piano concerts at 8 p.m. and 9 p.m.
The
Real Academia de España en Roma will open the Tempietto del Bramante and Chiostro del Pomarancio to the public free of charge (from 6 p.m. to midnight, last admission 11:30 p.m.). It also offers at 8:30 p.m. a concert by the
Piano, Violin and Cello Trio composed of Barbara Panzarella, piano, Roberta Lioy, violin, Francesco Marini, cello, performing works by Beethoven, Haydn and Mendelssohn.
The Academy of Romania will be open free of charge from 7:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. (last admission 10 p.m.) with the exhibition Music of Spheres “The Secret Geometry of European Painting” by Romanian artist Cristian Ungureanu. At 8 p.m. the concert
Waiting for Christmas will begin
with the sacred music choir “SF. Dionisie Exiguul.”
