Precious is back, the week of jewelry in Florence

A new edition of Preziosa - Florence Jewellery Week is back in Florence.

From May 24 to 28, 2017 among museums, galleries and squares there will be exhibitions, conferences, meetings and workshops entirely dedicated to the world of jewelry to raise awareness and promote the art of goldsmithing and its links with design and innovative technologies.

The biggest names incontemporary goldsmithing will be present, such as Robert Baines, Sibylle Umlauf, Fuchi Arata, Tasso Mattar and Danni Schwaag; the guest of honor will be Petra Hölscher to represent the Neue Sammlung - Museum of Design in Munich, a prestigious art gallery that houses the world’s most important collection dedicated to contemporary jewelry.
Live demonstrations by Florentine artisans will be held on Sunday, May 28.

The initiative is promoted by LAO Le Arti Orafe Jewellery School in collaboration with Die Neue Sammlung - The Design Museum in Munich, Hermitage in St. Petersburg, Ganjam Nagappa & Son in Bangalore, India, Inhorgenta Fair in Munich, KLIMT02 in Barcelona, Associazione Amici di Boboli in Florence, Friends Hermitage Museum, The Twocites Gallery in Shanghai and ARK Sign in Florence.
