On Saturday, July 10, from 7 p.m. to midnight in Pietrasanta, at The Project Space gallery, Complesso Ex Marmi, Via Nazario Sauro 52, Ozmo, among the best-known Italian street art artists, will create a mural on marble slabs in front of the public.
Ozmo, born Gionata Gesi, is considered one of the main pioneers ofurban art in Italy, but above all among those who most quickly broke away from American models to create a style and iconography that responded to the canons of the Italian artistic genetic heritage.
The event is linked to the ongoing exhibition Street of Mind, curated by Annalisa Bugliani and Alessandro Romanini, which brings together works by Carlo Galli, Neve and Ozmo, and aims to testify to the current evolutionary stage of an expressive form often considered an epiphenomenon or a subcultural creative form.
The initiative titled Wall of Art will consist of a live painting by Ozmo, who will create a mural in front of the public on marble, a material that has made the Apuo-versiliese territory famous in the world. With this event, Ozmo intends to bring together various expressive and stylistic registers and at the same time symbolically pay homage to the territory, presenting an iconic subject of Western classical sculpture and using marble, investigating its pictorial expressive possibilities as well as its sculptural ones and addressing the connection between art and architecture. Free admission.
