Pienza and the Flowers event returns

From May 1 to 13, the Pienza and Flowers event returns to Pienza. A painting by Andrea Locatelli believed to be lost will also be presented.

From May 1-13, 2018, Pienza will be the scene of the XXXII edition of Pienza and the Flowers, which will be held in the historic center of the Renaissance Ideal City.

The center of the initiative will be the wonderful Pius II Square, which will be transformed into a beautiful garden. Other spaces in Pienza will be decorated with many colorful and fragrant flowers, giving visitors the impression that they are in the midst of a great Renaissance festival.

On May 12 and 13, the highly anticipated Flower Market will be set up.

Also on display in the rooms of the Museum of Palazzo Borgia until June 2 will be Andrea Locatelli’s Landscape, a painting considered lost until now, depicting a Latium landscape with fantastic views of the Temple of the Sibyl of Tivoli with shepherds.
