The event is aimed at both professionals and all those who wish to approach the world of photography and visual arts. The program includes thirteen individual and two group exhibitions, portfolio reviews (Sept. 24), workshops and a rich program of presentations.
Concerning individual exhibitions, Agathe Kalfas & Mathias Benguigui, Carla Liesching, Angelo Vignali, Sara Palmieri, Arvida Bystrom, Ana Vallejo, Nikita Teryoshin, Marcelo Brodsky, Sara, Peter & Tobias, Piero Martinello & Piero Casentini, Julie Poly, Munirah Almehri, Piergiorgio Sorgetti are involved.
The images selected from the PhMuseum Days 2022 Open Call will participate in a collective installation on the festival’s main theme. As the concluding act of the second edition of FOLIO, PhMuseum’s international photobook masterclass, the dummies and books created by the twelve participants under the guidance of Tommaso Parillo (Witty Books), designer Federico Barbon and PhMuseum curator Rocco Venezia will be exhibited.
During the workshop, Salvatore Vitale invites to experiment with the expressive potential of photography placed in dialogue with different media. In an era characterized by increasingly interconnected digital communication, it is necessary for visual artists to confront daily with languages and media that constantly influence and shape the production of content and narrative projects. Over the course of three days, participants will have the opportunity to bring to life a transmedia narrative project involving the use of photography in association with other media such as sound, archival images, social platforms, video, and text.
