OnWednesday, March 27, 2019 at Sporting Beach Arte in Ostia, a day will be dedicated to Michelangelo Pistoletto and his Third Paradise: the initiative On the Sand of Ostia will feature Ostia students.

The project is part of the desire to bring exhibitions by prominent artists to the spaces of the historic bathing establishment in order to understand the various issues of the natural and social environment. In the perspective of the initiative, art, beauty and thought would be the only cure for the protection and preservation of the natural, artistic and anthropological heritage of an area.

Third Paradise - On the Sand of Ostia is a two-year path where the participation of the forces of the Roman littoral will be seen for a rebirth of the lidense anthropological and cultural heritage. It will be a sign in the sand, like the first version of the Symbol of the Third Paradise drawn by Michelangelo Pistoletto, that will indicate the beginning of the path. A sign that will be traced by the students of the Liceo Ginnasio "Anco Marzio," the Liceo Scientifico “Democrito” and the Faculty of Engineering Technologies for the Sea, future generations who take up the invitation to responsible and sustainable social transformation through an artistic performance. An assumption of awareness that true change and knowledge come through unity, social relations, exchange, acceptance of the other, consolidation of the Nature-Man-Culture relationship and with the equal center-periphery relationship.

The run-up to March 27 will feature in-depth content by Francesco Saverio Teruzzi, coordinator of the Ambassadors of Rebirth/Third Paradise, an international art project that boasts more than a thousand events around the World and more than three million participants on all continents.
