Night tours in the Herculaneum Archaeological Park on the trail of Hercules

On August 28 and September 4, as part of I Venerdì di Ercolano (Fridays of Herculaneum), the Herculaneum Archaeological Park offers nighttime guided tours with projections and videomapping

The Herculaneum Archaeological Park is offering two special evenings as part of the Campania by Night: The Fridays of Herculaneum program. On Aug. 28 and Sept. 4, thanks to SCABEC Regione Campania in collaboration with MIBACT, the Herculaneum Archaeological Park and the Municipality of Herculaneum, there will be guided tours of the archaeological site accompanied by light projections and videomapping reproductions of some of the masterpieces of painting and sculpture from Herculaneum starting with the Bourbon excavations.

Evocative Tableaux Vivants by Teatri 35 will also be offered.

The projections and tableaux vivants will focus on the figure of Hercules, the hero who gives his name to the city, and will be presented in a sequence that, accompanied by narration by the guides, suggests the fascination and power that the Hercules myth has always had in history.

The hour-long visits will run from 8 p.m. to midnight with departures every ten minutes, last departure at 11 p.m. Each evening will see a maximum of nineteen visits.

It is recommended to purchase tickets online at www.ticketone.it until 6 p.m. on the day of the visit, for ten-minute time slots.
Full 5 euros, reduced for under 30 and over 65 and Campania ArteCard holders 2.50 euros. Free for under 18.
