Naxed is born, a site about artistic nudity and erotic art, which will show what social censors censor

Naxed, the first artistic nude and erotic art site, against censorship imposed by social media, is born.

The project Naxed was born and presented in Catania. Artistic Nudity and Erotic Art, a portal that aims to present to the public contemporary artists who are dedicated to artistic nudity anderotic art. The project’s creator is Filippo Papa, a visual artist, photographer and graphic designer who graduated in Graphic Design from the Academy of Fine Arts in Catania in 2016.

The project, whose motto is “others censor, Naxed makes you see,” will select works by contemporary artists, with the belief that “the naked body is the cathedral of our soul”: Naxed, a note explains, “is like a body that encloses other bodies and souls within it. This is Pope’s visionary definition of the web network. A collection of artists who open their portfolios after passing a ’careful selection, which is headed by a quality committee headed by Papa and composed of his collaborators,” Denise Sidoti and Claudio Tomasello.

The driving force behind the project, Papa explains, was the spread of the culture of censorship on popular social networks, such as Facebook and Instagram. On the contrary, Naxed “wants to be an oasis where censorship does not exist rather the noble art of nudity and that of eroticism in its various forms can find proper regard and respect.” In Naxed’s social profiles also space for the most important nudes in the history of art.

The site can be visited at www.naxed.it. The hashtags: #ArtWithoutCensorship #Naxed #NaxedArt #OthersCensorNaxedNo.
