On the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the release of Franco Zeffirelli ’s film Romeo and Juliet starring Olivia Hussey and Leonard Whiting, the Franco Zeffirelli Foundation in Florence is offering two not-to-be-missed events: the exhibition L’Archivio mai visto - Romeo and Juliet and a screening of the film in Italian.
In fact, onFriday, December 21, at 5:30 p.m., L’ Archivio mai visto - Romeo and Juliet will be held, a guided tour through the documentary materials (unpublished photos, the original script, invitations to the premiere, period press reviews and more) of the film directed by Franco Ze ffirelli in 1968 and whose screenplay was written by Zeffirelli, Franco Brusati and Masolino d’Amico, and the music was composed by Nino Rota.
