The Ministry of Culture is again joining the Race for the Cure, the world’s largest event for the fight against breast cancer, now in its 24th year, through the Directorate General for Organization and the Directorate General for Museums.
The initiative takes place from Thursday, May 4, through Sunday, May 7, and all participants in the race will be grantedfree admission to state-run cultural venues in participating cities. To gain free access to museums and archaeological parks, one will need to show a Race for the Cure registration receipt or t-shirt along with identification at the entrance.
Visits will be allowed during regular public opening hours for each institution. During the four-day event, at the Circus Maximus in Rome, it will be possible to participate free of charge in sports, fitness, healthy eating, psychological wellness, entertainment and lectures on health and prevention issues.
Race for the C ure is the signature event of Komen Italy and is held under the High Patronage of the President of the Republic, in Rome, at the Circus Maximus, and in five other Italian cities: Bari, Bologna, Brescia, Matera, and Naples.
