Milan, kicks off the third edition of Icon Design Talks

From April 8 to 13, 2019, the third edition of Icon Design Talks: meetings with the protagonists of design will be held in Milan.

Coinciding with Milan Design Week, April 8-13, Icon Design Talks returns. The formula does not change: six days of meetings including lectures, master classes and debates with the protagonists who are redesigning our metropolises, our homes, our lifestyles.

The review, in its third edition, will revolve around the guiding theme of Innovation Design District: Hospitality. An edition designed to investigate new models of consumption and production, realized in collaboration with Edison and Volvo, main partner and automotive partner, and together with Luxury Living, Sedus and Itlas.

The theme will be declined through 5 basic verbs: sharing, socializing, welcoming, planning, integrating. Among this year’s novelties is the location: the Icon Design Talks will come to life in the Riccardo Catella Foundation headquarters, an example of industrial architecture built in the late 19th century as a railroad warehouse and used during the 20th century as a film set and contemporary art laboratory.

The calendar is packed with meetings, with many responding to the invitation of scientific director Andrea Boschetti and discussing with Annalisa Rosso, director of Icon Design, and Maria Cristina Didero, editor-at-large of Icon Design: Petra Blaisse, Kazuyo Sejima, Stefano Boeri, Humberto Campana, John Pawson, Tom Dixon, Michael Anastassiades, Aric Chen, Aldo Cibic, Alfonso Femia, Naoto Fukasawa, Guillermo Santomà, among others, Lanzavecchia + Wai, Philippe Malouin, Roberto Palomba, Carlo Ratti, Ippolito Pestellini Laparelli, Italo Rota, Simone Sfriso, Temporiuso, Marco Zavagno, and Luca Locatelli.
