On the occasion of the publication of thechildren’s Activity Book Racconti Straordinari di Città per Sognatori e Sognatrici, edited by iAC - innovActionCult and the Pleiadi Group, an itinerant and interactive event will be held in Milan on Saturday, September 10, leading children to discover Milan through a new and concrete perception of the city, aboard the historic Milan streetcar departing from Piazza Castello at 10 a.m.
"Extraordinary Tales of Cities for Dreamers and Dreamers evokes famous artists, characters and designers connected to the city of Milan through monuments, museums and works," says Maria Giulia Voltini, iAC President. "The tales engage young readers to move around the city and learn about extraordinary artistic and historical curiosities, following the playful-educational track. Inside the Activity Book, obstacles are illustrated that allow children to identify with some of the issues affecting the world of childhood and beyond, experiencing the themes of accessibility and fragility. Gae Aulenti, Leonardo da Vinci, Achille Castiglioni, Bruno Munari and Alda Merini are just a few of the many protagonists of the narrative, who at each stop of the streetcar will guide children on a journey through Milanese art, culture and science, through the methodology of laboratory teaching."
TheActivity Book is produced both in paper format and in a digital version: a kit that can be downloaded on the raccontistraordinari.it website, to independently carry out the activities proposed in the publication, with easy-to-find materials.
"The project is funded by the Maurizio Fragiacomo Foundation for the City of Milan, as part of the Call Art and Culture 2022,“ adds Chiara Deidda, iAC Co-Founder. ”The initiative includes the printing of 225 copies, distributed free of charge from October 2022 to elementary school, children’s libraries, museums and cultural institutions in Milan."
iAC-innovActionCult and Gruppo Pleiadi, also make an appointment for a workshop dedicated to children aged 5 to 10 as part of the Festival of Skills, Saturday, Sept. 24 at 5:30 p.m. at the Red Church Library Park in Milan.
Project curated by iAC - innovActionCult and Gruppo Pleiadi with the support of Maurizio Fragiacomo Foundation. Under the patronage of the National Network of Children’s Museums, CMV - Children’s Museum Verona, Anffas Lombardia, and the City of Milan.
