Milan, April 6 free admission to Pinacoteca Ambrosiana to celebrate Raffaello


On the occasion of the exhibition event The Raphael of the Ambrosiana. In Principio il Cartone, on Saturday, April 6, 2019, the anniversary of the death of Raphael Sanzio (April 6, 1520), the Pinacoteca Ambrosiana will be open free of charge to celebrate, together with the city, the restored masterpiece of the Urbino genius.

In addition to Raphael’s Preparatory Cartoon of the School of Athens, included in a new layout designed by Stefano Boeri Architetti, the section of the museum that houses some of the most extraordinary masterpieces of all time, such as theAdoration of the Magi by Titian Vecellio, Sandro Botticelli’s Madonna of the Pavilion, Bramantino’s Madonna Enthroned with St. Ambrose and St. Michael, Jan Brueghel’s splendid Flower Vases and Leonardo da Vinci’s Portrait of a Musician.



In the afternoon, a group of students from Milan’s Liceo Classico Beccaria (involved in an Alternanza Scuola-Lavoro project) will welcome visitors by offering them thematic focuses and brief insights into some of the works in the Pinacoteca Ambrosiana.
