Miart, the international fair of modern and contemporary art in Milan, will take place this year, but not in the form we were used to: the 2020 edition, in fact, will be held digitally, from September 10 to 13, 2020. The September one will therefore be a virtual meeting occasion that will allow gallerists and collectors from all over the world to experience the fair differently with the launch of new digital tools. All this is in anticipation of the 2021 edition, which will be both physical and online.
The decision was made in close consultation with gallerists, collectors, partners and experts and stems from an evaluation of all possible alternative solutions. The 2020 edition, with its digital format, will thus aim to allow the world of miart to meet by crossing borders.
“The September appointment,” the organization makes known, “will be available to gallerists and operators, with new and opportunities for promotion and business through a chat for direct negotiations with collectors. The digital platform will also feature the appointments of the Milan Art Week of the City of Milan, which will be held from September 7 to 13, 2020, to start again in a new way, waiting to meet again for both a physical and digital edition from April 9 to 11, 2021, with preview scheduled for April 8, 2021.”
All updates will be available online at the fair website.
Miart will happen this year, but in digital online version |
