The National Museum of Italian Judaism and the Holocaust - MEIS in Ferrara presents on Wednesday, October 4 at 5 p.m., a national preview of the world premi ere of Anne Frank’s novel, Cara Kitty. Epistolary Novel (Einaudi Ragazzi, 2023). This writing, which Anne conceived to be published in novel form, was almost forgotten and used only as a basis for new editions of the diary, although her diary since the 1950s has become so famous that it is now translated into more than seventy languages.
Presenting the volume together with the editor Amedeo Spagnoletto will be Frediano Sessi, editor of the definitive edition of the Diary for Einaudi, professor of Sociology at the University of Brescia and at the Master of Didactics of the Shoah, University of Roma Tre.
The meeting is organized in collaboration with Einaudi Ragazzi and CoopCulture and anticipates the Jewish Book Festival that will be hosted at the museum from October 12 to 15. For all info you can visit https://meis.museum/
The book was released in all bookstores on October 3, with an editorial note by Frediano Sessi and contributions by Ronald Leopold, director of the Anne Frank House in Amsterdam, and Laureen Nussbaum, Anne Frank ’s childhood friend and university professor.
