From November 9, 2018 and until January 20, 2019, the exhibition of luminous works of art installed in the city’s squares, parks and streets returns to Salerno: this is Luci d’Artista, now in its 13th edition in 2018.
New this year will be the Santa Teresa seashore, Piazza della Concordia and Largo Montone, but there will be no shortage of “classic” locations such as the Villa Comunale, Piazza Flavio Gioia, Piazza Portanova, the entire historic center from Via Mercanti to Piazza Sedile del Campo, Piazza Sant’Agostino, the Cathedral area, the seafront cliff, Piazza Cavour, Corso Vittorio Emanuele and Piazza Vittorio Veneto (FFSS station). And then again in the eastern area with the unfailing illuminated decorations in Piazza Caduti di Brescia in Pastena, Piazza Monsignor Grasso in Mercatello, Piazza Gian Camillo Gloriosi in Torrione and the Forte la Carnale area.
Other major arteries of the Campania city that will be affected by Luci d’Artista will be as always: Casalbore Square, Via Carmine, Via dei Principati, Via Roma, Corso Garibaldi, Via Porto, Via Torrione, Via Ventimiglia, Via Madonna di Fatima, Via Trento, Via Posidonia, and then again toward the city center in Via Conforti, Via Luigi Guercio, Via Settimio Mobilio, Via Volpe Via Arce, Via Nizza, Via Quaranta, Via Velia, Via Manzo, Via Diaz, Piazza Abate Conforti and Piazza Plebiscito.
Just as last year, the 2018/2019 edition also welcomes the return of light installations inside the Minerva Gardens (the former botanical garden that was once the Salerno Medical School). To learn more you can visit the event’s official website.
