In Milan, at the Poldi Pezzoli Museum, a conference entitled Leonardo Disegnatore will be held on Thursday, January 9, 2020, at 6 p.m. The event will be curated by Benedetta Spadaccini of the Veneranda Biblioteca Ambrosiana.
Leonardo da Vinci (Anchiano,1452 - Amboise, 1519) was a prolific draughtsman, but not only that: he revolutionized the modes and techniques of drawing. The purpose of the lecture is intended to illustrate the innovations introduced by the da Vinci master through his most famous drawings. In addition, special attention will be paid to the analysis of the drawings of his Lombard pupils, such as Giovanni Antonio Boltraffio, Marco d’Oggiono and the Master of the Sforza altarpiece, in order to better understand the significance of Leonardo’s teaching.
Admission will be free while places last.
