From March 22 to May 22, 2023, the Lediesis return to the Mann in Naples with the exhibition SuperNature. On the occasion of the arrival of spring, the museum wants to celebrate Mother Earth in this way through images of goddesses and women, also taking inspiration from the female icons of the National Archaeological Museum of Naples.
The tale will unfold from the Garden of Fountains, set up with images of contemporary heroines who narrate the fragility of our ecosystem, to the Frescos section, where Lediesis works will be in dialogue with the masterpieces housed in the museum and speak of an ancient symbiotic relationship between man and nature.
“We thank director Paolo Giulierini for his great sensitivity to new languages of art,” the artists say. “The exhibition, conceived specifically for the spaces of the Mann, wants to draw attention to the ancient and ancestral relationship that the goddesses, archetypes of the intrinsic forces of our being, have with Nature. The Goddesses, holders of knowledge that has been lost over time, reknit that indissoluble relationship that connects us to MotherEarth. A bond that apparently seems forgotten, but at a deep level we have not lost.”
Simultaneously with the exhibition at the Mann, Lediesis will carry out an “urban furniture” intervention in the historic center of Naples.
