Invitation to the Palace is back: dozens of banks on Saturday, Oct. 7, open the doors of their headquarters to the public showing off their treasures.

Scheduled for tomorrow, Saturday, October 7, is the sixteenth edition of Invito a Palazzo, the event organized by theABI (Italian Banking Association) through which Italian banks and banking foundations open their historic and modern headquarters to the public, unveiling their treasures, from art collections to furnishings, from architecture to parks. The event is in fifty-two cities throughout Italy, where as many as 102 palaces await visitors. Among the new features are nine palaces opening their doors for the first time, guided tours led by high school students as part of the “Guide for a Day” initiative, and two brand new cities: Cuneo and Rovereto.

“It is by now a strong and consolidated tradition of the Italian cultural scene,” said ABI President Antonio Patuelli, “and for this reason I am even more pleased to welcome all those, enthusiasts, citizens and tourists, who will want to visit the palaces of the Banks operating in Italy and the Foundations of banking origin, coordinated by Acri, open for this 16th edition of Invitation to the Palace, which sees confirmed, also, the prestigious participation of the Bank of Italy.” “It is the sign of a banking world,” Patuelli concludes, “that works together with the communities, confirming the continuous search for harmony with its territories.”



The event is from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. in 15 regions of Italy: Piedmont (Asti, Biella, Cuneo, Turin), Lombardy (Bergamo, Bormio, Brescia, Mantua, Milan, Sondrio), Trentino Alto Adige (Rovereto, Trento), Veneto (Padua, Treviso, Verona, Venice), Friuli Venezia Giulia (Gorizia, Udine), Liguria (Genoa, Savona), Emilia Romagna (Bologna, Cesena, Forlì, Imola, Modena, Parma, Piacenza, Ravenna, Reggio Emilia, Rimini), Tuscany (Arezzo, Florence, Livorno, San Miniato, Siena), Umbria (Orvieto, Perugia, Terni), Marche (Fano, Fermo), Lazio (Cassino, Frosinone, Rieti, Rome, Sora, Viterbo), Abruzzo (Teramo), Campania (Avellino, Naples, Torre del Greco), Sicily (Acireale, Palermo), Sardinia (Sassari).
