In Milan the tenth edition of the fundraising auction Una Mano per AIL (A Hand for AIL)

OnMonday, May 29, 2023 at 7:30 p.m., the 10th edition of Una mano per AIL (A Hand for AIL), thefundraising auction aimed at financing the AIL Accoglie project, will be held at Palazzo Clerici, Christie’s Milan headquarters. Neighbors Concretely, which brings together all the assistance activities offered free of charge to oncohematology patients and their families.

This year A Hand for AIL involves thirty leading contemporary artists, photographers, architects, and designers who have donated one of their works that has as a common theme the city of Milan, where AIL has been working for forty-seven years. Milan itself will be the subject that will inspire the reflections of thirty famous Milanese (from Giorgio Armani to Giorgio Gaber, from Ferruccio De Bortoli to Aldo, Giovanni and Giacomo, from Beppe Sala to Massimo Moratti, from Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana to Gialappa’s Band) that will accompany each work and be collected in the catalog.

The works will be on display at Palazzo Clerici, Wednesday, May 24 through Friday, May 26, from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.

The auction will be held by Cristiano De Lorenzo, Managing Director Italy of Christie’s, assisted by speeches by Lella Costa.

Much more than a meeting between multiple protagonists, citizens and supporters of our Association, and of this we are proud.”

“There are hundreds of artists of great value,” Tognetti continues, “who have created and donated valuable works to AIL Milano over the years, and who have been joined from time to time by as many personalities from the world of culture, entertainment, sports and science: all together sensitive and aware witnesses of how important it is to be united and effective in the fight against blood cancers, with and for AIL Milano. And thanks to them, important resources have been raised with which we have implemented necessary and innovative projects for the hematology community in our area.”

The funds raised through this tenth edition of Una Mano per AIL will be entirely allocated to increase and guarantee the total free services offered by the AIL Accoglie project. Neighbors Concretely, which brings together all the assistance activities aimed at oncohematology patients. From hospitality in AIL Houses, to the accompanying service to therapies, from the Psychological Support Outpatient Clinic, to the early and simultaneous palliative care project, from economic support to reimbursement of travel expenses for the most fragile patients.
