In Arezzo big celebration for the 50th anniversary of the Antiques Fair: the whole city dives into the 1960s

The Arezzo Antiques Fair celebrates its 50th birthday this year: the Arezzo event was in fact inaugurated on June 2, 1968, on the initiative of the celebrated antiquarian Ivan Bruschi (Castiglion Fibocchi, 1920 - Arezzo, 1996), to whom, moreover, one of the city’s most important museums is now dedicated. Bruschi had been inspired by the flea markets of Paris and London, and wanted to create an event that would bring gallery owners and antique dealers to the streets of his town.Thus, in fifty years the Antiques Fair, organized every month (on the first Sunday of the month and the preceding Saturday) has grown, also hosting important personalities (such as Pablo Neruda, Ornella Vanoni, Monica Vitti) and reaching international notoriety.

To celebrate anniversary number 50, this year the Arezzo Antiques Fair is organizing a big party on the weekend of June 1 to 3: it will be a themed celebration that will enliven the streets of the historic center, invaded by tunes from the 1960s (Camaleonti and the New Trolls will also be guests), as well as installations and street furniture that will create the context for the event.
