From July 12 to September 6, 2024,Salzburg’s alpine summer comes alive with ALM:KULTUR, a program of special events held every Friday at various huts in Austria’s Saalfelden Leogang region.
Tradition meets modernity-this is the motto that inspires the artistic and cultural projects of ALM:KULTUR. Each week, the alpine pastures become the stage for a varied program ranging from concerts to painting classes and creative workshops. During this time, the alpine pastures will be transformed into vibrant centers of cultural activity, capable of combining ancient local customs with contemporary trends. These events not only provide an opportunity for entertainment, but also serve as a bridge linking the past to the future, to revitalize cultural traditions in a contemporary context.
They are also popular with art, culture and music enthusiasts because they turn a pleasant day of nature hiking into a unique experience. Events are held exclusively in good weather. Access is free of charge. No registration or payment is required to take part in the events: simply walk up to the mountain pasture and get involved in the cultural program offered. This makes it possible to enjoy a special cultural experience, sometimes quite casually. However, table reservations are recommended at the hut where the event is held.
