For the major exhibition Rossini 150, running in Pesaro, Urbino and Fano from July 12 to November 18, 2018 and organized to mark the 150th anniversary of the death of the great composer Gioachino Rossini (Pesaro, 1792 - Passy, 1868), there will also be highly original... musical tours! In fact, in the exhibition it is possible to admire and listen to original period pianos, mostly from the “Claudio Veneri Collection” of the Accademia dei Musici Museum of Historical Piano and Sound - Marche Italy. These are true works of art that feature the marks of the “Masters” of piano history, including Pleyel, Gioachino’s favorite brand, and in addition to being on display they will be the protagonists of special musical tours and concert stories at each of the three venues.

A total of thirteen instruments have been restored and loaned to the exhibition, and as mentioned they can not only be admired, but also listened to, thanks to the special “concert tours” organized as part of the exhibition. In fact, the “Historic Piano Exhibition” in Pesaro will be enlivened by special visits: on Friday (9:30 pm) one can attend the concert story “Io, Gioachino Rossini e il Pianoforte,” a narration of the story of Gioachino’s life and works intertwined with the piano; on Saturday and Sunday (7.30) there are “Musical Visits in the History of the Piano,” a true journey through the history of the evolution of the instrument and, in parallel, that of composers, from Bach to Mozart, Beethoven to Chopin, Debussy to Verdi and, of course, Rossini. It will be possible to hear the pieces in their original sonority thanks to the performances of a pianist-concertor who will guide the visit, making visitors experience absolutely extraordinary emotions. Also scheduled in Pesaro is the animated visit in period costume “Rossini and the Marquise Mosca,” featuring Gioachino and Marquise Vittoria, for an evocative tour in music and art! Appointments on Sunday, July 15, August 19 and September 16 (10:30 a.m.).

Concert tours are also in Urbino and Fano: four instruments are featured in the Urbino venue and will be enlivened on Saturday (9:30 p.m.) by the concert story, “Io, Gioachino Rossini e il Pianoforte.” In Fano, on the other hand, the tale concert will be held every Sunday at 9:30 pm.
