For the first time on display in Pistoia Maria Lai with her Geography

From Sept. 22, 2024, to Feb. 23, 2025, Palazzo de’ Rossi in Pistoia will host a new edition of IN VISITA, the Pistoia Musei Foundation ’s initiative totemporarily exhibit one or more works of art within the permanent itinerary of the Palazzo de’ Rossi’s Collections of the Twentieth Century. The project is directed by Monica Preti, director of Fondazione Pistoia Musei, and Annamaria Iacuzzi, curator of the Collections of the Twentieth Century.

The event will feature Maria Lai (Ulassai, 1919 - Cardedu, 2013), who will be presented for the first time in Pistoia with her work Geografia, made between 1982 and 1988. This work, on loan from Intesa Sanpaolo, was part of the Credito Industriale Sardo art collection as a contemporary expression of artists active in Sardinia.

In addition to the support of Fondazione Caript, this appointment of In Visita also benefits from the collaboration of Intesa Sanpaolo and theMaria Lai Archive.
