On the occasion of the release of the film Io, Leonardo, which will hit theaters on Oct. 2, the Polo Museale della Lombardia and Sky Arte have announced that the Cenacolo Vinciano will open its doors free of charge for four extraordinary openings in which the public can view Leonardo da Vinci ’s masterpiece without spending. The free extraordinary openings at the Last Supper Museum are scheduled for Thursday, Oct. 31, Thursday, Nov. 28, Thursday, Dec. 19, and Thursday, Jan. 30, 2020, from 7:30 to 10 p.m.
This is a joint initiative between the Polo Museale Regionale della Lombardia and the producers of the film Io, Leonardo (i.e., Sky Arte and Progetto Immagin), which was presented yesterday at the Cenacolo in the presence of the film’s cast, including star Luca Argentero, who will play Leonardo da Vinci. Thanks to the collaboration between the Polo Museale della Lombardia and Sky, it will in fact be possible to offer visitors free admission for a total of 1,200 tickets distributed over the four evenings. Of these tickets, 360 will be dedicated to young people between the ages of 18 and 25, to incentivize one of the age groups least present among visitors to the Cenacolo.
In order to be able to participate in the special openings, it is necessary to reserve tickets through the call center, starting one week before the opening date, at the toll-free number (from landline 800.990.084 or toll-free number, from landline or mobile +39.02.92800360) and also at the Museum’s ticket office on the same evening, presenting yourself at the box office starting at 7 p.m. (however, since tickets will sell out, it is prudent to be prepared in advance).
