Fiesole I feel so. Street Art Comes to Fiesole.

Saturday, May 4, 2019 is held in Fiesole the Street Art event between live painting, meetings, workshops: Fiesole I feel so

Fiesole I feel so is the Street Art event held on Saturday, May 4, 2019, in Piazza Mino da Fiesole, from 4 to 10 p.m.

An initiative born from the idea of young participants in the project Museo? I don’t like and by a group of former students of IED Florence and promoted by the City of Fiesole and the Primo Conti Foundation, in collaboration with theEuropean Institute of Design in Florence. The goal of the event is to invite the public to feel Fiesole through art, music and creativity.

The event will kick off at 4 p.m., in Piazza Mino, with a live painting session, where the protagonists will be three young street artists: Bue2503, Fone and Ninjaz. This will be followed by thematic meetings dedicated to street art with, among the guests, Omar Rashid and Matteo Bidini. The mural created by Zed1 in the garden of the Municipal Archives will then be unveiled at 6 p.m. Creator of the Second Skin technique, Zed1 has created a work for Fiesole that will be unveiled by the citizens of Fiesole, manually removing the top layer of the mural and thus bringing out the final second layer.

For younger children, a craft printing workshop proposed by Streets Level Gallery and led by artist Nian has been organized: children will be introduced to craft printing techniques through the reuse of juice and milk tetrapacks (at 4 p.m.). Also from 4 p.m., there will be Greetings from Fiesole, an experimental silk-screen printing workshop organized by IED Florence and curated by designer and lecturer Laura Moretti, in which participants will produce postcards dedicated to Fiesole by experimenting with silk-screen composition and printing techniques.

The photographic exhibition Fiesole Perspectives, conceived by the Alumni of IED Florence’s Event Design course with the support of the Interior Design class, will also be inaugurated. Fiesole Pers pectives intends to recount aspects of Fiesole’s past that still persist today, but through a contemporary angle. The original photos selected from the Ranfagni Fund for the exhibition will be in dialogue with their modern version, created with the use of a colored filter.

Also scheduled are guided tours of Fiesole’s museums, which will be given by cultural mediators from the AMIR - Incontriamoci al Museo project: 4 and 5 p.m. Area and Archaeological Museum; 4:30 and 5:30 p.m. Museo Bandini (meeting at the Fiesole Museums ticket office ten minutes before the start of the tours).

All initiatives in the Fiesole I feel so program are free of charge.
