A Facebook Live tour is scheduled today to remotely visit the exhibition"Giovanni da Rimini. A 14th-century masterpiece unveiled" running until Oct. 8, 2017 at the National Gallery in London.
The event, which will take place at 7 p.m. (in Italy) on the National Gallery’s Facebook page, is curated by art historian Caroline Campbell and is designed to allow even those unable to reach London to admire the works on display, such as the panel with Giovanni da Rimini ’s Scenes from the Life of the Virgin and Other Saints and Scenes from the Life of Christ from the National Gallery of Ancient Art at Palazzo Barberini in Rome. The two panels are considered parts of a diptych that the public has the opportunity to see reconstructed for the first time.
Video of the live broadcast will remain available on the museum’s Facebook page.
