European Night of Museums: special evening opening on May 13 for 1 euro

The European Night of Museums is back. Saturday, May 13, 2023 will see the nineteenth edition of the initiative organized by the French Ministry of Culture and sponsored by UNESCO, the Council of Europe and ICOM, which provides for theextraordinary evening opening of institutes and places of culture at the symbolic cost of 1 euro (except for statutory free admission).

The aim of the event is to encourage and promote awareness of national and European heritage and cultural identity. Museums, monumental complexes, archaeological areas and parks participate in the Museum Night; the openings are also associated with events, shows and cultural promotion initiatives, organized with the contribution of all the arts (theater, music, dance, literature, cinema, etc.).

The list of participating museums, which is continuously updated, as well as the events and schedules of the extraordinary evening openings, are available on the institutional page of the Ministry of Culture.
