Venice, kicks off the 13th edition of the Arte Laguna Prize. There is time until Nov. 27 to register.

Entries are now open for the 13th edition of the Arte Laguna Prize, the free-themed international art competition whose goal has always been to enhance contemporary art and design. The competition stands out in the global art scene for the increasing variety of partnerships and opportunities offered to artists, who have the chance to win worldwide residencies, collaborations with companies, solo exhibitions in international galleries, as well as cash prizes. The total prize money for the 2018 edition is 200,000 euros while the exhibition of the finalist artists, selected by the international jury, will be held at theVenice Arsenal and will last three weeks. There are ten competition categories: painting, sculpture and installation, photographic art, video art and short films, performance, virtual art, digital graphics, environmental and urban art, and design.

Overall, participating artists can win: six cash prizes of 7.000 euros each; an exhibition at the Arsenale in Venice; four exhibitions in international art galleries (Galerie Isabelle Lesmeister in Regensburg, Anise Gallery in London, Jonathan Ferrara Gallery in New Orleans, and Galleria Vàrfok in Budapest); four collaborations with Companies (Fraccaro Spumadoro, Tessitura Luigi Bevilacqua, 47 Anno Domini and Maglificio Giordano’s); nine art residencies; a Sustainability and Art Prize; four international festivals (Art Nova 100 in Beijing, Art Stays Festival in Ptuj, Photolux Festival in Lucca, TraVellArt in Venice); and publication in the official catalog. The prize jury consists of Igor Zanti (Italy, Curator and art critic), Filippo Andreatta (Italy, Co-curator at Centrale Fies art work space, theater director), Flavio Arensi (Italy, Director of Musei di Legnano, Milan), Alfonso Femia (Italy, architect), Mattias Givell (Sweden, Co-director of Wanas Konst), Eva Gonzàlez-Sancho (Spain, Co-curator of the first Oslo Biennial), Richard Noyce (UK, Writer, lecturer and art critic), Simone Pallotta (Italy, Curator of Public and Urban Art), Danilo Premoli (Italy, Architect and Designer), Enrico Stefanelli (Italy, Director of Photolux Festival), Alessandra Tiddia (Italy, Chief Curator at MART - Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art of Trento and Rovereto), Vasili Tsereteli (Russia, Executive Director of MMOMA - Moscow Museum of Modern Art), Maxa Zoller (Germany, Artistic Director of International Film Festival, Dortmund, Cologne).
