The ninth edition of the National Day of theItalian Historic Houses Association will be held on Sunday, May 19, 2019: about 400 historic houses, including castles, villas, manor houses, farmhouses, courtyards, parks and gardens will welcome the public.
ADSI’s National Day is part of the second edition of the European Private Heritage Week, established by the European Historic Houses Association, aimed at celebrating private historic-artistic and landscape properties throughout Europe, which will take place between May 16 and 19.
This initiative aims to raise awareness of the historical, artistic and socio-economic value of this cultural heritage. Historic Houses offer visitors the opportunity to immerse themselves in unique atmospheres and to discover little-known places because they are off the traditional itineraries. An important space will be devoted to master craftsmen, who are essential for the maintenance and preservation of period residences.
Visitors will be accompanied by students from schools and art institutes: in this way, ADSI National Day directly involves the new generations in the enhancement of historical-architectural heritage.
Numerous cultural events, exhibitions, concerts, and theater performances are planned to engage audiences of all age groups.
