Coming up is the XXXV edition of Modenantiquaria, an event dedicated to high antiques

ModenaFiere is hosting the 35th edition of Modenantiquaria, an international event dedicated to fine antiques, from March 26 to April 3, 2022.

From March 26 to April 3, 2022, a new edition, the thirty-fifth, of Modenantiquaria, an international event dedicated to fine antiques, returns to ModenaFiere. “We will be ready to welcome you and project you into the world of high antiques,” said ModenaFiere General Manager Marco Momoli. “We are already at work to create an edition of true antiques excellence, with the leading exponents of the sector and exceptional works of art and in complete safety; to be able to offer Italian and international antiquarians and our public an unmissable place and opportunity.”"Modenantiquaria,“ the director continues, ”is a ’scene’ where culture, passion and business move well, together. For a level exhibition like Modenantiquaria, the certainty of certification of the objects on display is essential, to give all the peace of mind possible to customers and collectors. That’s why, in addition to the guarantees already given by the highly selected exhibitors, we have selected internationally accredited art historians who examine all exhibits before the exhibition opens."

“I am confident that both the city and the exhibition will welcome the public in an exemplary manner. There is a desire on the part of exhibitors and antiquarians to get off to a great start again,” expressed Pietro Cantore, President Antiquari Modenesi and Treasurer of the Antiquarian Association of Italy, positively. “Sales and the desire to buy antiques have never stopped even in this period of great uncertainty; this bodes well for a very significant market restart.”

Simultaneously with Modenantiquaria, Petra is also back, in a completely revamped guise: 2,800 square meters of greenery, a true dialogue between antique and nature. "The popular show dedicated to garden furniture," stresses Francesca Moratti, head of both events, “historical or contemporary, city or seaside garden, country or mountain, horizontal or vertical, small or huge, changes its face and confirms the excellence for which it had distinguished itself.”

There is also a new section entirely dedicated tosculptural art of excellence, SCULPTURA. Italian Masterpieces from the 13th to the 20th Century, curated by Fernando Mazzocca, Aldo Galli and Andrea Bacchi.

Plus a competition signed BIOHABITAT and AIAPP: the Gardens of Petra: fifteen selected gardens in which the work of art will be one with nature, making man an integral part of the journey.

Internationally renowned galleries will participate again this year. Many major players: from Altomani & Sons to Cantore Galleria, from Longari Arte to Verdini Antichità, from Fondantico by Tiziana Sassoli to Brun Fine Art; and again, Tornabuoni Arte, Robertaebasta, Cesare Lampronti, Butterfly Institute, Paolo Antonacci and Enrico Gallerie d’Arte, Bottegantica by Enzo Savoia and Miriam Di Penta Fine Arts, Callisto Fine Arts and Galleria Previtali, Berardi Galleria d’Arte and Studiolo by Stefano and Guido Cribiori, Galleria Megna, Mirco Cattai and Robilant+Voena, Botticelli Antichità, Dario Ghio, Marletta Gallery, Mottola Italian Sculpture, Caiati Antiquities, Romigioli Gallery, Secol-Art, 800/900 Art Studio, La Pieve Antiquities, Giglio Antiquities, Silva Gallery.
