Coming to Milan, the Van Gogh Immersive Experience: a 360-degree immersion in the works of the famous artist

From June 1 to December 2023, Lampo Scalo Farini in Milan welcomes thanks to Exhibition Hub, a specialist in the design and production of immersive multimedia exhibitions, and Fever, a leading platform for live entertainment, the immersive event Van Gogh: The Immersive Experience.

A 360-degree immersive journey among Van Gogh’s works, sunflower fields and almond blossoms, combining digital art, educational content and new virtual reality experiences: sixty projectors will animate 350 Van Gogh masterpieces visible in 360 degrees on a 2,000-square-meter floor, wall and ceiling area.

There are many opportunities and activities to be carried out in this “immersive-edutainment” context, including an area where a documentary will be screened to discover all the secrets of Van Gogh’s painting technique, a room dedicated to his Studio, and a’other area called “Color and Exhibit” entirely reserved for the imagination of visitors, who will be able to make and display on a large screen their own creations inspired by the artist’s most famous paintings, or take them with them as souvenirs of the exhibition.

The Milan exhibit exclusively features the Japonism room with works in which Van Gogh was inspired by the art of Japanese prints. Thanks to virtual reality, it is also possible to explore “A Day in the Life of the Artist”: a ten-minute multisensory experience to investigate the famous artist’s creative process and discover the inspiration for some of his most beloved paintings such as Vincent’s Room in Arles and Starry Night on the Rhone.
