Cinecittà studios and the Museum of Audiovisual and Cinema reopen with many new features


Istituto Luce Cinecittà is enhancing its cultural offerings with the reopening 6 days a week of its exhibitions and museum, and a new calendar of special and language tours. From Monday, June 22, in fact, Cinecittà si Mostra and MIAC (Italian Museum of Audiovisual and Cinema) will again be open all week (excluding Tuesdays) to allow the general public to discover the Studios or return to browse among props, original costumes and large outdoor sets.

Then, from July, the calendar of special visits that include those themed on the film heritage of Cinecittà si Mostra and the MIAC, and educational activities, also in LIS - Italian Sign Language, designed for children and families, is enriched by the language proposal thanks to guided tours in French and English on the permanent sets of ancient Rome, 15th-century Florence and the Temple of Jerusalem. A true summer festival, entitled In the Light of Summer, which will allow people to learn about the history and protagonists of the temple of cinema, experiencing Cinecittà in the open air.



Among the events scheduled for July 2020 are Les décors : de Jérusalem à Florence au quattrocento, a guided tour dedicated to French-speaking audiences visiting Cinecittà, Federico Fellini and Cinecittà, a visit focused on the figure of Federico Fellini through the route of the exhibitions in the halls dedicated to the Maestro, screenings, and a route to theexterior that includes two Cinecittà sets, Jerusalem and Ancient Rome and Theater 5, and Cinecittà in Color, a fun en plein air activity for children and families to paint skylines together dedicated to the sets, architecture and scenic sculptures of Cinecittà: colors, brushes and a lot of imagination will be the ingredients with which to reinvent the scenarios of the city of cinema.
