From July 28 to September 28, the appointment with the contemporary art exhibition "Forme nel verde," now in its 48th edition and titled “Pause, between chaos and harmony,” returns to San Quirico d’Orcia(Siena), curated by Gaia Pasi. For the occasion, it will be possible to admire, in the marvelous Horti Leonini, the collective work “Eternity” created by the students of theAcademy of Fine Arts of Carrara, called by Maurizio Cattelan to create works that have death as their theme, as long as they refer to artists of the past or present.
In fact, 100 tombstones dedicated to artists such as Caravaggio, Klimt, Manzoni, Beuys, Magritte, Burri and Cattelan himself with his desecrating tombstone (you can find our report here) will be on display. During the event there will also be space for a selection of paintings made by the students of the painting courses of theFlorence Academy of Fine Arts exhibited at Palazzo Chigi.
And more sound works, site-specific installations, performances and street poster art interventions will enliven the Tuscan event.
Horti Leonini can be visited from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., while Palazzo Chigi is open to the public from 10:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. For all information you can visit www.formenelverde.wordpress.com.
