Caravaggio in Milan: kicking off an educational tour for school children and teens


At the Caravaggio exhibition in Milan kicks off an original educational itinerary designed for children and school children.

As part of the exhibition “Inside Caravaggio,” which opened last Sept. 29 curated by Rossella Vodret, younger visitors will be able to discover the painter in an original itinerary developed by the Educational Section of the Royal Palace entitled "Caravaggio and Painted Light."

Conceived and created for schools by educators from the City of Milan, the educational itinerary will also be available for children and young people aged 5 to 16 accompanied by their families in four special appointments: Nov. 13, Nov. 27, Dec. 11 and Jan. 15 at 5 p.m.



In a note, the deputy mayor and councillor for Education, Anna Scavuzzo, explains, “The exceptional work of artistic promotion and educational innovation of the educational sections of the Municipality of Milan is aimed first and foremost at schoolchildren, but it is important that the quality of the routes designed for classes is accessible to the whole city and the youngest can thus experience it in the company of their families.”

At the end of the educational tour, the exhibition guide and a small Art catalog with selected works will be donated. To participate, reservations are required by phone at 02.88448046. The educational activity is free of charge and admission to the exhibition costs 6 euros for children 6 years and older, with reduced rate for the accompanying adult.
