Bologna Academy of Fine Arts launches its first radio program

The Academy of Fine Arts of Bologna is launching its first radio program "50 minutes of reparAtions" from May 12, in collaboration with Radio City Fujiko.

Starting May 12, 2023, theAcademy of Fine Arts of Bologna launches its first radio program 50 minutes of riparAzioni, broadcast on the frequencies of Radio Città Fujiko as part of the project riparAzioni - reworking to art, conceived by the Academy for the PON Metro 14-20 program, National Operational Program Metropolitan Cities of the Municipality of Bologna, funded by the European Union and dedicated to sustainable urban development.

The new program was created as a creative response to the problems of the urban area of Bologna’s historic center where the Academy and University are based: every Friday morning, from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m., six thematic episodes will address various aspects of that particular area characterized by strong contrasts, places of high artistic and cultural value and spaces of degradation and marginality. The radio program will thus give voice to those who live in the neighborhood, interweaving different points of view, memories and daily experiences. It will also recount, through some live radio broadcasts, the riparAzioni program of workshops and events organized, starting May 18 in Roberto Raviola Square, to animate and give back to the city a space of sociality and culture.

The project is curated by Professor Daniele Campagnoli and Giulia Quadrelli and Leo Merati and produced with Profesor Stefano Pasquini and Radio Città Fujiko. The radio program was conceived by involving thirty students from the two-year Art Didactics and Cultural Heritage Mediation program. The thematic episodes are recorded and conducted with contributions from Veronica Camastra, Diana Cava, Iacopo Cotalini, Mariarosa Cuccitto, Daniele Difeo, Chiara Mascellani, Neva Reali, Valeria Scardino, Camilla Sollazzo, and Francesco Zanlungo.

50 Minutes of Reparations will air on Radio City Fujiko (103.100 MHz in frequency modulation or directly from www.radiocittafujiko.it) from May 12 to June 30, every Friday morning from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m., and on May 18, June 8 and July 1, live from 6 to 7 p.m. It will also be possible to listen to the episodes in streaming and as podcasts from the Academy’s website www.ababo.it
