Arts for Future Festival dedicated to digital arts and crypto art arrives in Florence

From May 1 to 22, 2022, the Cathedral of the Image in the former Church of Santo Stefano al Ponte in Florence will host theArts for Future Festival, an unprecedented and free event dedicated to artistic proposals from the world of digital arts, new media and crypto art. Through installations, performances and meetings, the festival aims to present itself as a place of encounter and exchange not only between artists and the public, but also between insiders and experts in digital art.

It will bring together digital artists and creatives, whose works will animate the architectural surfaces of the Cathedral of the Image, with 360-degree video projections that will multiply digital artworks. The event is organized by Crossmedia Group with the artistic direction of Alex Braga and Stefano Fake.

The Cathedral of the Image will thus be transformed into an immersive digital art project that will bring together more than sixty artists and digital creatives in the same space. The project will be coordinated by the Italian collective Metaexperience.Art, already known in Florence for the videomapping works created on Ponte Vecchio during the Florence Light Festival.

Space will also be given to the mirror room, the installation where the viewer will be immersed in a kaleidoscope of visual images.

The festival will also host within it the Cryptoart Gallery, curated in collaboration with CryptoArtStudio. There will be no shortage of works by emerging Italian talents and in-depth sections on new trends in Crypto Art, aimed at enthusiasts and those curious about this universe.

The festival will also organize bi-weekly panels on various topics: the metaverse as the market of the future; artificial intelligence, natural talent; nft: how to finally sell the Colosseum; art and videogames: how gamification fits into the art market; and immersive art: history, trends and cases of international success.
