A project is born that promotes reading by having children read at the museum. One hundred events throughout Italy

From November 15 to 17, 2019, 'Adventures Between the Pages. Let's read at the museum!', a new project to educate children about the importance of reading.

It’s called Adventures Between the Pages. Let’s read at the museum! the project that the Kid Pass Culture association and the Kid Pass portal are launching for the first time this weekend, November 15-17, 2019. It is an initiative to promote the importance for children to get closer to culture and reading: in one hundred museums throughout Italy, there will be creative reading sessions, guided tours tailored to the youngest children, and activities for families (the event is reserved for families who have children under the age of twelve). The intent, organizers explain, is twofold: on the one hand to bring families and children to discover museums, and on the other to educate young and old about the importance of reading.

The events, as mentioned, will be held throughout Italy: important spaces such as Palazzo Strozzi in Florence, the Galleria Nazionale di Palazzo Spinola in Genoa, the Museo di Ca’ Rezzonico in Venice, the GAM in Turin, the GAMeC in Bergamo, the Reggia di Caserta, the Gallerie d’Italia at Palazzo Leoni Montanari in Vicenza, the Città of Science in Naples, the Bologna museums of Genus Bononiae, the Civic Museums of Reggio Emilia, the Museum of Science in Trento, the Archaeological Museum in Chiavari, the National Archaeological Museum in Florence, the Borgogna Museum in Vercelli, the Palazzo Reale in Genoa, the Poldi Pezzoli in Milan, the National Etruscan Museum of Villa Giulia in Rome, the Museum of the Duomo in Milan, the Castell’Arquato Museum System and many others. Each with thematic events centered on their collections.

The initiative has secured partnerships with Pingu’s English, Best Western, Mielizia and Focus on You. To learn more and to scroll through the full schedule of events at all participating museums, you can log on to the Kid Pass website.
