Turin lights up with Luci d’artista, an artistic-cultural event now in its XXIII edition: until January 10, 2021, the Savoy city is in fact illuminated by works of art conceived by contemporary artists.
A route that counts a total of twenty-six works, including permanent and temporary installations, fourteen of which are in the historic center and twelve in the other Circumscriptions.
Luci d’artista, a project of the City of Turin carried out by IREN Smart Solutions and Fondazione Teatro Regio Torino, with the support of Iren S.p.A, Fondazione Compagnia di San Paolo, FONDAZIONE CRT, was born in 1998 as an exhibition of contemporary art installations created with light en plein air in urban space and, since 2018, has been enriched with an educational-cultural itinerary. An occasion that has become a regular event for the city, allowing the public to grasp the various poetic visions expressed by each artist characterized by a particular attraction to light.
This edition also sees some novelties: the temporary installation Concert of Words by Mario Molinari; Illuminated Benches by Jeppe Hein will instead be permanent as will The Kingdom of Flowers: cosmic nest of all souls by Nicola De Maria, whose installation will be enriched; Amare le differenze by Michelangelo Pistoletto has been restored and new artistic lighting will enhance Monument 1706 by Luigi Nervo.
