The City of Rimini and the San Patrign Foundation announce the twelve finalists of the first edition of the Italian Artists’ Prize PART, the new biennial award for contemporary art talents under the age of forty, who are Italian or resident in Italy. The Prize is based on the selection of a shortlist of finalists, chosen by three selectors who have distinguished themselves for their activities in the field of emerging contemporary art. The selection committee identifies twelve of the most interesting artists in the panorama of contemporary creation active in Italy, following the principle on which the San Patrignano Foundation Collection is based and in line with the Foundation’s code of ethics.
The protagonists of the first edition, chosen by the selection committee composed of Edoardo Bonaspetti, Lucrezia Calabrò Visconti and Francesco Garutti, are Benni Bosetto, Costanza Candeloro, Caterina De Nicola, Binta Diaw, Lorenza Longhi, Beatrice Marchi, Diego Marcon, Daniele Milvio, Margherita Raso, Andrea Romano, Giangiacomo Rossetti, and Davide Stucchi. These are featured from May 14 to Oct. 2, 2022, in an exhibition within PART Palazzi dell’Arte in Rimini.

Three awards will be given by the committee of supporters of the Prize and the mayor of Rimini, who together will have the task of choosing the three works that will become part of the San Patrignano Collection and will be exhibited at PART. The winners will be awarded a cash sum of 10 thousand euros for the first place winner, 6 thousand euros for the second place winner and 4 thousand euros for the third place winner. The winners will be announced at a public ceremony at the end of the exhibition on Saturday, October 1, 2022. The exhibition will remain visible to the public for four months, useful for the supporters committee to view the submitted works. Girls and boys guests of the San Patrignano Community will also be able to assign their preferences.
