The first edition of Cinema in Festa kicks off on September 18: five days, from September 18 to 22, when tickets will cost only €3.50, Sunday through Thursday. The initiative is promoted by ANICA, ANEC, and Fondazione David di Donatello, in collaboration with the Ministry of Culture, and aims to invite every moviegoer to the cinema, enhance the cinema experience, present the fall and summer cinema seasons, and ensure continuity of film offerings for twelve months. Cinema exhibitors from all over Italy will be involved: more than a thousand cinemas (1050 to be precise) for over three thousand screens nationwide will offer great family titles and great films from the Venice Film Festival in theaters.

The project will span five years, until 2026, and each year there will be two appointments, one in September and one in June, in which the public will be able to see all the films in normal programming, but also attend previews, masterclasses, and other special events, including in the presence of actresses, actors, directors, screenwriters, and other protagonists of the entertainment world.

To mark the first edition of the initiative, a new competition Win cinema for a lifetime will also be launched: anyone who buys a ticket from September 18 to 22 can win a card to go to the cinema for free for life, every day of the year. The ticket with which to participate can be purchased at cinema cashiers, on e-commerce and on the Apps of participating cinemas.
