On Sky Arte the new series dedicated to the great masters of painting, from Masaccio to Mantegna

Launching on Oct. 28, premiering on Sky Arte at 9:15 p.m., the new Sky Original series dedicated to the great masters of painting. Titled Great Masters, the series chronicles the lives of great painters through their masterpieces in eight episodes lasting 30 minutes each, also available on demand and streaming on NOW. In 15th-century Florence, among Renaissance fathers such as Brunelleschi and Donatello, Masaccio embodied the new spirit of the age. The painter died very young, at only 26, but he changed the history of Western painting. The 9:50 p.m. episode will be devoted to Pontormo, an eccentric figure also evidenced by his diaries.
