On Rai5 a documentary dedicated to Giorgio De Chirico and his metaphysical painting

The new weekly appointment of Art Night, which will air Friday, May 21, 2021 on Rai5 starting at 9:15 p.m., will begin with an episode of Art Rider: in this episode Andrea Angelucci will lead viewers to discover theancient tradition of transhumance. The art and culture that the shepherding-related trade brought to these places will be described, and from Tagliacozzo to Castelli, among the beauty of the Abruzzo mountains, Angelucci will encounter hidden amphitheaters, mysterious idols of millennia-old rituals and the last heirs of ancient crafts. Aided by the example of those who have decided to live inside pristine forests, he will thus rediscover a unique bond with nature, considered a true work of art, on par with those created by man.

After this immersion in nature, the evening will continue with a documentary dedicated to Giorgio De Chirico (Volos, 1888 - Rome, 1978): an exceptional document from the Teche Rai will introduce the audience to the leading exponent of metaphysical painting, among the most innovative artists of the 20th century.
