On Rai 5 journey to discover the noble villas in the hinterland of Veneto

New appointment with Art Rider: a journey of discovery of the Veneto hinterland in the villas of noblemen or wealthy owners of different eras.

Tonight at 9:15 p.m. on Rai 5 Art Night, a program by Silvia De Felice and by Massimo Favia and Marta Santella, directed by Andrea Montemaggiori, opens with “from Bassano del Grappa to Negrar,” the third episode of the second season of Art Rider, a format in search of Italy’s lesser-known art places led by Andrea Angelucci, a young and dynamic archaeologist, tour guide and travel designer.

Curiosity will once again lead Andrea to follow his intuition, this time in the Veneto hinterland, in search of artistic beauties by visiting villas of noblemen or wealthy owners from different eras. His goal is to reach the site where a mosaic pavement has been found under the rows of a vineyard, remains of an ancient and opulent Roman villa. And it is by taking a few detours from the main route that Andrea will also find himself recounting, thanks to a fresco, one of his favorite historical figures who may have passed through Bassano del Grappa: Frederick II. But this time in another guise, namely that of poet and learned thinker. Andrea’s journey will be studded with breathtaking landscapes and moments of total immersion in the amazing natural surroundings.

Art Night continues with the documentary “Consagra.” With his sculptures Pietro Consagra broke with the past and invented another way of making sculpture.
