On Rai 5 a documentary dedicated to Lucio Fontana, a great protagonist of the 20th century

On Rai 5 Art Night features tonight a documentary entirely dedicated to Lucio Fontana.

Starting tonight, Art Night, airing from 9:15 p.m. on Rai 5, features two series that will accompany viewers for six weeks. Therefore, Art Rider, the series that leads to the discovery of the most hidden and mysterious places in Italy with Andrea Angelucci, a young and dynamic archaeologist, eclectic and unpredictable travel designer, returns in prime time. The first episode goes from Gabii to Subiaco, discovering the beauty of the Aniene Valley. Art Rider is an original format by Gioia Avvantaggiato and Paolo Fazzini, produced by GA&A Productions in collaboration with Rai Cultura and with executive production by Gioia Marchetti, with direction by Francesco Principini and texts by Paolo Fazzini and Chiara Vannoni.

A special series on Protagonists of the Twentieth Century will be aired in the second evening: artists, critics, gallery owners, and collectors who played a major role in Italian art of the last century. Protagonists also because, thanks to the precious archives of Teche Rai, they are themselves storytellers, at work on their works, or in the galleries. We begin with the documentary Fontana, which recounts the role of Lucio Fontana, a great anticipator and undisputed protagonist of Italian art in the second half of the 20th century. With his holes and cuts, the artist invented a new way of conceiving art and space.

Art Night is a program by Silvia De Felice and Massimo Favia and Marta Santella. Directed by Andrea Montemaggiori.
