Wenders then takes us to Barjac, in the south of France, where Kiefer had a studio in the Cévennes mountains for 30 years, which is now part of the Eschaton Foundation. And then to his current studio near Paris, where the artist works.

The film aims to reveal Kiefer’s life journey, inspiration and creative process. Past and present intertwine at the boundary between film and painting, allowing the audience to fully immerse themselves in the world of one of the greatest contemporary artists. A unique portrait that the filmmaker created over the course of two years.
